2. Toy Day - Animal Crossing

Nintendo do appealing like Michael Bay does pointless explosions, and although Animal Crossing might put some off who don't want to learn the intricacies of living a virtual village of cutesy animals, events like Toy Day bring thousands more in every year. Toy Day is the game's answer to Christmas (assumedly to get around any religious underpinnings from the name itself, and to let anyone join in the fun), yet it's still themed around the festive period overall.

Each game in the series has (so far) had Toy Day land on a different date leading up to Christmas, with certain villagers requesting specific items they'd like, or in 2013's New Leaf, letting you buy a full bearded Santa outfit to deliver the presents in style.
