14 Completely Overlooked PS4 Games You're Totally Missing Out On
8. Crypt Of The NecroDancer
If You Already Like: Gauntlet, Diablo, Hotline Miami.
Never underestimate the power of good music in a video game.
Such an ethos came out of the GTA trilogy and more recently, Hotline Miami, but Crypt of the NecroDancer actually ties your movement to the beat - or rather, encourages you to play in-step with its synthwave tunes, tackling dungeons and felling monsters in a blur of blades and techno fusion.
The only thing that stands in your way once you've got the hang of how to move, is the difficulty. CotD is brutally hard, rather like getting your footing all wrong in a complex tango. A few wrong moves and you're back to the main screen, doomed to spend your carry-over coins and try again.
It's this roguelike progression that gives Crypt of the NecroDancer an "Okay, just one more try"-type feel, which when mixed with a sense of reward from when you DO surmount its arenas and boss battles, is quite the awesome mix indeed.
