11. Snake's Craziest Stunts Are In Otacon's Mind - Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Why Konami and Hideo Kojima licensed out the remake of MGS 1 to a console OTHER than a Sony machine is still beyond me, but here we are. Such a deal still made for a ton of animosity on latter side, and for good reason; overblown, almost anime-esque backflips and crazy rocket-surfing stuntwork suddenly saw Snake become a genuine superhero, far away from the gruff, 'back from retirement' old dog we knew and loved.

To remedy that, fans have purported that scenes such as Snake genuinely riding a rocket in mid-air are just imagined by Otacon, as a big point of their relationship is how much he idolises everything Snake does.

In addition, part of Otacon's introductory cutscene delves into how much he loves anime and over-the-top action, and before the Hind D battle proper, Otacon does remark on how much he can't believe what Snake is about to do, giving some credence to this.

Look, it's mostly just the the whims of a few thousand MGS fans operating as one, but just let us have it, okay? Twin Snakes was awful.
