14 Mind-Blowing Video Game Fan Theories That Change Everything

9. The Lone Wanderer Trained To Use Guns Wrong Their Entire Life - Fallout 3

Thanks to the wonderful mind of Redditor dirtyLizard, the following theory proves that if given enough time, fans will figure out a plausible way to make even the most infuriating part of any game make sense.

As he writes:

"The Lone Wanderer never uses iron sights because James taught them the wrong way to hold a gun when they were 10 (left hand around the barrel). They practiced the incorrect way for years and got good enough at it that they never bothered learning the correct way after escaping the vault."

To elaborate, Fallout: New Vegas' protagonist was a courier in a time set four years after, when the vast majority of the remaining populace would have figured out more effective ways to survive and colonise.

Fallout 4, too, is a couple hundred years after, so although you could say the better shooting controls come from a background in the military, assumedly you'd of learned how to use a gun properly in time anyway.

What's that? It was just a basic omission back in 2008?? Surely not!
