While Rime didn't release amid a major PR hype-storm like most of these games, it was nevertheless highly anticipated due to its gorgeous art style and the fact it was first revealed way back in 2013.

Rime is fine, and received solid reviews from most of the gaming press, but considering how many artful, vague, slow-moving action-adventure puzzle games there are out these days, that's not really enough.

First and foremost, the gameplay simply wasn't interesting enough, such that even the appealing visuals couldn't prop it up entirely. The puzzles were dull and irritating, and it was an absolute chore to make it to the end, even though it's hard to call it a bad game.
