14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)

1. Mass Effect: Andromeda

No, the latest Mass Effect game isn't the horrendous pile of garbage some fans might have you believe, but it's also hard to deny that the sci-fi sequel fell massively short of expectations.

Developed by a less-experienced team and rushed out under less-than-ideal conditions, Mass Effect: Andromeda quickly became a laughing stock for its horrendous facial animations upon release (which have since been fixed), so-so story and characters, and the general feeling that this felt like a "straight-to-video" entry into the series.

On the other hand, the multiplayer was fantastic and the combat was arguably the best it's ever been, but neither of those facts could fully compensate for the tedious, repetitive gameplay and clear lack of diligence put into the title.

So disappointed have fans been that EA has since put the franchise "on hold", which could very well mean its quiet cancellation. Either way, there won't be a new entry into the series for quite some time.
