14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)
12. Friday The 13th: The Game
Crowdfunded games are always a bit of a gamble, but Friday the 13th: The Game really seemed like it would capture the scuzzy spirit of the classic movie franchise, while finally allowing players the wish fulfillment of terrorising campers as Jason Voorhees.
Though the game is intermittently enjoyable with the right mix of players, for the most part it's unfortunately a janky, glitchy mess, with a limited central scenario that quickly becomes tiresome, and poorly-implemented mechanics that often make playing as Jason more a chore than a fun time.
Sadly like so many Kickstarter-funded titles, Friday the 13th felt unfinished at launch, and a litany of server issues across platforms didn't much help.
