14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)

11. Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series

It's fair to say that Telltale Games' stock has dropped somewhat recently as they've clearly taken on more projects than they can adequately do service to, hence why last year's Batman series was so bug-riddled and technically sloppy.

However, Guardians of the Galaxy seemed like such a fine fit for their storytelling sensibilities, especially considering how brilliant Tales from the Borderlands was with its similar style and tone.

Unfortunately, the usual Telltale complaints are here in spades: the engine is still woefully out-of-date, the visuals are a mess, the voice acting is a thoroughly mixed bag, and the illusion of choice is hilariously transparent, as the big decision ends up affecting very little.

Sure, the series isn't complete yet, but from what's been released so far, this basically plays like a quick cash-grab for Telltale and little else.
