14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)
8. Yooka-Laylee
Yooka-Laylee is a game that just about everyone wanted to like, but the new platformer from the minds behind the N64-era Banjo-Kazooie titles is unfortunately hopelessly stuck in the past, willfully retaining the camera, control and checkpoint issues of those games to its own detriment.
It's not without its charms, and those with a massive craving for some old-school platforming will probably get a kick out of it, but overall a new title from a team this talented should've been much better, and it's clear that the low budget placed a ceiling on what they were capable of.
This is a quintessential "wait for a sale" game.
