Spiders

Developers Spiders live up to their name, forever creating games that are forever hiding in plain site, eventually resulting in far wider-reaching influence than you might think.

So far they've leant their hand to Sherlock Holmes (only for Frogwares to become more associated with the series) and created Of Orcs and Men (only for spin-off character Styx's games to nab the spotlight instead).

Now they're embarking on their grandest effort yet, a third-person, Mad Max-style RPG that mixes magic abilities with a harsh, dystopian world, all set on Mars. They've previously tackled the same theme in the badly-received Mars: War Logs, yet the idea of humanity striving to survive on a steampunk Red Planet is certainly an untapped and interesting one.

So far we've seen gameplay footage show combat ostensibly be like The Witcher 3, with constantly-shifting access to a number of stances and abilities keeping things fresh. Whether Spiders can overcome the production value qualms that dogged Mars: War Logs, though, is something we'll have to wait to find out.
