Another terrifically surprising Gamescom announcement was the reveal that legendary 1993 Super Nintendo RPG Secret of Mana is getting a full 3D remake for PC, PS4, and PS Vita, due out on 15 February 2018.

The new version of the game won't just feature significantly overhauled visuals, but also a newly-arranged musical score, and if you're eager enough to pre-order, you'll even receive Moogle and Tiger costumes as DLC.

Remakes of games as esteemed as this are always met with nervous excitement, but the fact that a whole new generation of players will get to experience the game on its 25th anniversary is certainly no bad thing.
