In terms of just how many people got eyes on 2K20 being on fire - and the depth of the bugs, glitches and unfinished nature of the project - the latest WWE game is arguably the disaster of the year.

It's got to the point now where former devs are speaking out about how the game's reception will affect next year's product, noting that staff are leaving 2K "in double digits", just to get away from the ongoing negativity.

Back to the game itself, and 2K20 saw a change of developers. Yukes were apparently forced out by publisher 2K, and NBA 2K devs Visual Concepts were asked to finish everything instead.

As you can see from the likes of the above, this did not go well.

2K20 is missing various fan-favourite modes from years gone by, and what people did get was the textbook definition of a "disaster".

Character models violently warping into one another and the ring, the camera detaching and leaving the stadium altogether, various referees, wrestlers or objects levitating, WWE 2K20 is blatantly unfinished, and was only released to satiate the need for "an annual WWE game".

It's shambolic, and reminiscent of Assassin's Creed Unity's iconic "face glitch" from 2014.

Here's hoping the next generation - and WWE 2K's debut on it - is a drastic, marked improvement.
