3. Gold Saucer - Final Fantasy VII

Split into seven different areas called Squares, the Gold Saucer from Final Fantasy VII is filled with various games to play.

The Speed Square is home to the Shooting Coaster where you ride a rollercoaster whilst shooting targets to amass points.

The Wonder Square allows you to participate in numerous mini-games in a giant arcade. There's a fighting game, a crane game, a basketball game, arm wrestling, a bike riding game, a fortune teller, a submarine game, and a snowboarding game. There's also the Mog House.

The Battle Square is home to a battle arena because the Final Fantasy series just loves its battle arenas.

Chocobo Square is where you can race the Chocobo's that you have raised. If you're anything like me then you spent more time breeding and racing Chocobo's when playing FFVII than you did actually trying to save the world.

Those are the big ones but there's also the Ghost Square which is a haunted themed area that contains an inn, Event Square which contains a theatre, and the Round Square where you can ride a gondola.

The Gold Saucer breaks up the regular gameplay really well and I for one can't wait to see it in an upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake game.
