13. Toy Story

Toy Story may have been late to the 16-bit party, what with PlayStation and Sega Saturn being very much on the scene at the time of its release, but that didn't stop the game from wowing old and next gen gamers with its graphics.

With the Mega Drive port pipping Nintendo to the post critically, the game follows developer's Travellers Tales' tried and tested formula of platforming action and cool cut scenes.

Playing as Woody is still a blast and for every shelf-hopping level you get a little gem of a stage like the battery-snaffling road dash or a bizarre but kind of brilliant first-person romp through the claw's domain.

Beyond brilliant.
