15 Best Food-Themed Levels In Video Games

If you look through Sonics history he weirdly rarely visits food-themed worlds. There's Desert Ruins Act 3 which only seems to exist because the words desert and dessert are spelt similarly. That level is alright but it's nowhere near as good as Sweet Mountain from Sonic Colours.

In Sweet Moutain, you navigate giant versions of just about any dessert that you can think of. It mixes the food aesthetic with the space feel that the entire game is going for - yes, Sonic Colours I like Super Mario Galaxy as well.

In 3D Sonic you need an interesting looking environment to stare at whilst you run at the speed of sound. Since the games emphasise speed, there's always going to be sections where you're running fast and doing little else, whilst this is happening the environment needs to pick up the slack and keep you interested once the idea of running fast stops being that impressive.

A sweet-filled world flying through space is definitely an interesting enough setting to stop you from getting bored in the moments where you gotta go fast.
