15 Best Horror Video Games Of The 2000s

14. Siren: Blood Curse

Siren's 'sight-jacking' feature is so unique, inventive and downright cool that I wish I could it carry it around in my pocket to use whenever I like. With the press of a button, sight-jacking allows you to tune into an enemy's POV and borrow their eyes for a quick look around the environment; the idea being that you can map out a route through enemy patrols with the aid of split-screen. It's one thing to hide from somebody looking to rip out your throat, and quite another to actually see how close they are to spotting you as you crouch in a closet praying you're not too karmically overdrawn at the moment. Make no mistake, sight-jacking is more than just a gimmick, and your continued survival in Hanuda Village is dependent upon your ability to juggle several viewpoints to decide the best course of action. With its grungy visuals and J-horror aesthetic, Blood Curse stands apart from the crowd as a truly unique experience with a killer hook.
