15 Best Open-World Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)
15. Just Cause 2
"Some people just want to watch the world burn"
Yeah, yeah we do Alfred, especially when said world-burning is accompanied by a huge variety of vehicles to smash together, explosions to chain and a grappling hook to experiment with. For the second Just Cause, developers Avalanche Studios knew exactly what fans wanted, and exactly what they could deliver on from a fantastically anarchic first instalment. That meant even bigger dynamic set-pieces (tether your grapple hook to literally anything from fighter jets to soldier's backs and watch the physics engine to go work), a story that just gave you an excuse to blast everything apart and an expanded set of tools to play with in one of the biggest game worlds ever built. The Just Cause series exists to make you drop your jaw as frequently as possible, and as JC3 is right around the corner - it's only going to get better.
