finest, and although the final product has just as many detractors as it does supporters, the very fact this opened with a direct parallel to the setting of the first two games - before going as far away from them as possible - is worth commending. It's got to be one of the most obvious bait n' switches this side of anything Hideo Kojima's involved in, and reversing the colour palette of the first titles from an underwater utopia of blues and greens over to a gorgeously rendered floating steampunk city of reds and yellows reigned in newcomers just as it did with longtime lovers.
