So it's the Wild West, and someone's just slaughtered your family - although as it happened when you were away, all you have to go off to find the culprit are some dying words and a very brief description - say something like "He was wearing a golden belt buckle". It's then up to you to venture out into the world and track down the rascally varmint, with each quest and task giving you a new piece of information that'll slowly reveal the killer in a suspect window. The game randomly generates the killer every time, and they'll actually be freely wandering around the world themselves - it's just up to you to put together enough of a profile before you go pointing your six-shooter at anybody - which you can freely do. Anyone can die, and anybody can be accused - making this one big cowboy-themed game of 'Guess Who?' The overly blocky pixel art aesthetic of the characters might put some people off (it's an art style that in this case has quite the disconnect between the luscious backgrounds and Terrence & Philip-looking flap-headed character models), but it's all part of the appeal, and more so than anything it's the brilliant design of the game's story that'll hook you in. Plus, you have to manually reload your gun by tapping the button to slot each bullet in the chamber - a neat little feature that makes every single gunfight just that little bit more frantic.
