15 Biggest WTF Moments In The Witcher Trilogy

9. Hung Over

One thing you find out while playing through the Witcher games is that Geralt can be quite the drinker. He’s not opposed to embarking on a drunken escapade every once and a while, especially when the stakes are high. When he does it makes for some amusing situations, one of the most consequential of which happens in The Witcher 2.

In Chapter I of the game, Geralt is offered a drink in celebration with the Blue Strips, an elite unit of soldiers headed by Vernon Roche. Geralt ends up drinking too much to the point of blacking out, and he wakes up naked on Flotsam Harbor, a fresh tattoo on his neck. Confused and unable to recount the events of the night, Geralt is forced to retrace his steps and put the pieces of the night back together. Oh yeah, and rid himself of that ridiculous tattoo, if you so desire.

Eventually you find out that Geralt and four others attempted to cross the river while riding prostitutes, afterwards of which Geralt insisted on getting a tattoo as an initiation towards becoming one of the Blue Stripes. It's pretty hilarious to hear stories of the stoic and monotone Geralt engaging in such over the top behavior; it makes you wish you could have seen it for yourself. Instead you have Geralt’s shame and Triss’s laughter, which is almost just as good.
