15 Bizarre 'Game Over' Scenes You Weren't Expecting

7. Bushido Blade - Ignoring The Way Of The Samurai

An early Square Soft game hailing from the days of the original Playstation, Bushido Blade is best remembered today for its variety and choice when it came to tactically combating foes. With no life gauge, to the point where a well placed strike could instantly kill a fighter, the ability to launch crippling strikes on limbs and a surprising degree of realism when it came to handling weapons, it was as far from Soul Calibre as you could get. Most interestingly was the honour system within the game, which altered how players would fight entirely. Ignoring the Bushido code or repeatedly acting without honour, such as killing an opponent from behind, would result in a very sudden game over where the player would instantly lose the match. Seppuku often ensued, if you were lucky.
