Remember when the image of video games was just batsh*t insane?

Across the 90s and early 2000s, companies like Sony spent their marketing budget creating adverts with alien-eyed girls, whilst Microsoft thought the best way to advertise the Xbox was to show someone living and dying without getting their hands on one at all.

This mentality was reflected in their games too, with the wondrously random "virtual pet/conversation game" Seaman (ahem) dropping on Dreamcast in 1999. I mean, come on, SEAMAN.
