15 Fan Demands For The Fable Reboot

Fable 4 world

While we're in our home town, why don't we deal with something that isn't just a weakness in Fable? In all RPGs, towns tend to be designed with the progression of the story in mind. Weapons on the other side of the world from the starting village always seem to be made out of some more damaging material than those the player has access to early on, which makes no sense in most RPG worlds.

As there needs to be some gameplay differentiation between what is available in these towns, we suggest making their items functionally different rather than simply more powerful. Towns in areas with faster enemies might have weapons that swing faster, while those facing things that can heal quickly may offer serrated blades and piercing clubs. Balverine-infested areas may offer silver weapons, those facing Trolls may have to rely on serrated blades to rend their armour, while those often facing faster enemies like Nymphs may find that faster-swinging weapons suit their style.

With each town offering a new kind of armament that is better suited to their area, but also has generally useful properties, the player may find themselves spoilt for choice.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
