15 Fan Demands For The Fable Reboot

5. Advanced Real Estate

Fable 4 world
Lionhead

Speaking of businesses, why don't we take part in one of Fable's other main town-based activities? No, we're not talking about farting in the face of a passing villager, for once. We're talking about a signature feature of Fable that, like so much of the franchise, is so shallow it's begging to be built on for the reboot: real estate.

While the early real estate dabblings should be simple, affecting the economy of each town as they already do, the player should have more control if they want to immerse themselves in this aspect. This can be achieved through the use of a large office space in each town that enables the Hero to have more control over their business empire, such as changing any shop into any other sort. Want to change the bookshop into another pub? Expect more drunks staggering through the town. Want to add a criminal enterprise in the back room of the blacksmith? You'll see more thugs in the streets at night.

The office would also enable trade routes to be set up between businesses in different cities, and give the player a collector who grabs the rent in town and stores it in one location.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
