6. War On Used Games
Used games have always been a staple of the modest gamer. Lets face it, a lot of great games come out every year, but most of us dont have the time or money to get them all on release day. So we pick and choose which ones we will pick up for full price, and which ones we will wait later down the year for. In that time, many gamers will sell their games in order to pay for new ones, while allowing the cheaper of us to play that game weve wanted to play for a while for significantly less. Its a win-win situation, so there should be no problems, right? Well, according to developers and publishers, our right to sell back the product we bought with our money is loosing them money, so they are trying to take that right away from us. Never mind the fact that they are probably loosing money because of their excessive spending, its obviously our fault. Between the retailers lack of reasonable compensation when selling back a game and the rumors of one console only games, numerous parties are making the simple act of selling a product impossible. If the rumors of the
lack of used games support for future consoles is true, it shall be a dark time indeed for the modern gamer.
