15 Greatest Video Game Crossovers Ever

10. Street Fighter X Tekken

The Tekken and Street Fighter series of fighting games are, without even the smallest shadow of a doubt, the two biggest franchises in the genre's history, therefore pitting them both against each other is like watching a fight to the death between Arnie and Sly Stallone. So iconic and fundamentally different are both series', that many thought it simply couldn't be done. Street Fighter is a series that's strictly about 2D fighting on a three-dimensional plane, replete with fireballs and Sonic Booms aplenty. Tekken, on the other hand, is basically the complete opposite of that, featuring fully three-dimensional fighting and a far milder emphasis on projectiles. The game was supposed to be the first of two collaborations between Capcom and Namco, with the former developing the first game, and the latter the other. Alas, Namco's proposed 'Tekken X Street Fighter' is still nowhere to be seen, and we only have this game to enjoy. Despite the shady, underhanded business practice of locking DLC on the disc that Street Fighter X Tekken has become known for, the game is actually brilliant - and if you're a fan of either series, definitely deserves your attention.
