Like a lot of games from the fondly-remembered era of 90s gaming, multiple versions of Robocop Versus The Terminator existed. Unlike the awfully-optimised PC ports we're all subjected to today (looking at you, Batman: Arkham Knight), different iterations of the same game back then meant a wildly different end result. The SNES version of this side-scrolling sci-fi crossover was pants, forget that it even exists right now. Instead, what you want instead is the Sega Mega Drive copy, which is superior in every way. Robocop and Terminator go together like cheese and Marmite (a wonderful pairing, by the way), and such are the technology-heavy worlds of both franchises that this match-up is a no-brainer. In-game you can only play as Robocop, as The Terminator was too busy being the enemy in that franchise's first film. That's okay though, you'll still get to see plenty of Arnie's digitised face as you repeatedly blow it off. Believe it or not, there's a decent story in there too. Virgin Games did a bang-up job of melding the Skynet/RoboCain plot elements together in a coherent manner that I'd say is still good enough for a film adaptation. Come on now, it couldn't be any worse than Aliens Vs. Predator, could it?
