15 Hardest Video Game Achievements Of 2017 (So Far)
8. Messiah - Outlast 2
It's pretty much confirmed at this point that the developers of Outlast hate everyone.
The Messiah achievement requires you to play through Outlast 2 on Insane difficulty, the hardest in the game, without reloading the batteries in your camera. Yes, you need to complete a game where using your camera's night vision is crucial, by essentially never using it.
If you do die during this run it's all over. Insane difficulty in Outlast means you have one chance, so die and it's back to the title screen.
Now, this achievement existed in the first Outlast, and back then everyone thought the thing was one of the more challenging feats to accomplish. But now, in Outlast 2, it seems damn near impossible. The game is tremendously longer and you're no longer confined to tight hallways, but are roaming at times in open corn fields where the enemy count seems as if it's tripled.
Right now the achievement is sitting at a staggering 0.07% unlock rate on Xbox Live, so good luck.
