15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Horror Video Games

14. Oxide Room 104

Michigan: Report From Hell
Wild Sphere

Oxide Room 104 is a horror game that plays like an escape room. Stuck in a motel, gamers are forced to make split-second decisions that will determine whether they live or die.

While the premise itself is interesting, the game's poor production values drag Oxide down, with some terrible acting and dialogue throughout the game.

This is best heard upon listening to the doctor who serves as your captor. He tries too hard to inflect a scary voice, yet makes awkward pauses between his lines which makes it sound like a first take. Even during crucial moments, the VA rarely raises his voice, and lacks the threat factor to make him an intimidating villain. This problem is exacerbated further by the fact that he never stops speaking.

It also doesn't help that Oxide tries to be hip with its dialogue when the doctor rants to the player about bitcoin and NFTs.

Despite the interesting setting and escape room aspect, Oxide Room 104 never manages to overcome its low budget. Poor voice acting becomes the deciding factor that stops this game from ever becoming good.
