15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Video Games

11. Resident Evil

Where to start with the sound palette of Resident Evil, eh? This is one of the games that established video games' reputation as the go-to place for voice acting fails, and it's so replete with strange, stilted voice acting from Jill, Barry (oh, Barry, Barry, Barry), and co. that it was tempting to put one of the 20-minute montages of the game's dialogue in this entry.

But there's just something about the infamous 'Jill Sandwich' line that stays in the memory, helping it achieve meme stardom in the internet era. The awkward pauses between both characters' lines, those exaggerated arm gestures showing off Barry's oversized forearms, and of course Barry's weird dad joke about the Jill Sandwich, all combine to brilliant effect.

Then, to top it all off, Barry's excuse for being there to save Jill is "I, err, just had something I wanted to check". To this day, we still wonder, 'what, errr, is it that Barry wanted to, erm, check?'
