16 Hotly Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2015
14. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
It's a shame all the kerfuffle around Konami's inner workings and treatment of their employees is starting to overshadow the rollout of Hideo Kojima's final Metal Gear (the game didn't make a public appearance at E3 because of it) - as from what all the hands-on demos have described, it looks to be the best yet. In electing to separate the personalities and ideologies of both Solid Snake and Big Boss even more, Kojima has made Phantom Pain's Snake something of a mute. Gone are the one-liners and uber-cool quotable phrases or monologues we've come to associate with the franchise, as the Big Boss of MGS V is one who's currently going through hell, experiencing the massive disconnect from serving his country that transforms him into the villain you fought in the original Metal Gear. Newest trailers hint very heavily at the child versions of Solid and Liquid Snake still making an appearance somewhere in the narrative too (although you can bet young Snake still won't be voiced by David Hayter), and with the established voice cast working on the game saying we're truly in for something special - you can bet there's a huge amount of content, secrets and plot-reveals that'll blow fans away come September.
