15 Iconic PlayStation Franchises - Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Little Big Planet
Little Big Planet could have been such a huge disaster. A family-friendly title based around charming platforming and the ability to use your imagination to craft levels as you see fit, Media Molecule's iconic universe for a time looked to be a swing and a miss for the fledgling PS3. But with a dash of perfectly pitched humour and an art style that captured the hearts of kids and grown ups everywhere, Little Big Planet enjoyed unprecedented success when it eventually released. Spawning two sequels to date and a wealth of hand-held and download only spin-offs, the franchise has gone on to become one of Sony's most bankable IPs in its entire roster. Even as original developers Media Molecule have moved on to different things, the series remains strong to this day, with the second true sequel hitting PS4 to rave reviews late last year.
