7. Ratchet And Clank

Considering the multitude of sequels, spin-offs and even the upcoming big-screen adaptation the franchise has spawned over the years, I guess you could say Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank has been a success. Although at first glance you might have shrugged off these games as mere kid-fodder, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by missing out on some of the most enjoyable experiences that Playstation has to offer. Unfortunately though, Ratchet games have overcrowded the market a bit in recent years, with too many spin-offs diluting what was once an innovative and unique style of gameplay. Had it not been for that negligence when it came keeping the quality of Sony's brand high, it's probably a safe-bet that Ratchet & Clank would have scored even higher on this list. However, with the upcoming reboot/re-imagining/sequel heading to PS4 to coincide with the release of the feature film, it's looking like Playstation fans will be treated to a true return to form for this once flawless series.
