15 Iconic PlayStation Franchises - Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Uncharted

Here's a confession: I hadn't played a single Uncharted game until a month ago. I know, I know, it's not something I say lightly, and I'm a bit ashamed to finally admit that it took me so long to get around to Naughty Dog's most successful gaming series. But when I booted up Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, 7 years after its initial release, it was easy to see how Playstation fans fell in love with this hugely likeable romp of a franchise. Even with obvious technical and philosophical advancements in the industry that have developed since that game first hit stores shelves, the atmosphere, characters and writing all came together to create something instantly memorable. And it was all uphill from there. Although the general consensus seems to be that the second title is the best of the series (I'd personally argue a case for number three), Uncharted as a whole plays more like an encompassing experience than it does singular, separately defined games. The universe that Naughty Dog has expanded on over the years is one of the best the industry has ever seen, and I can't believe it took me so long to jump into this adventure. I might be talking to the converted, and it might be a bit predictable to give Uncharted the Playstation crown, but I simply would have been lying if I said any other franchise deserved it more.
