Achieved by 0.4% of players Don't be fooled by the sweet 8-bit aesthetic here. This game's gravity-reversing 'Metroidvania' gameplay will confuse you until you can no longer distinguish between up and down, with the result being that you land on lethal coloured spikes time and time again. This is particularly problematic if you're after the 'Master of the universe' achievement, which requires that you complete the game without a single death. You'd hope from this that VVVVVV wouldn't be a particularly long game, but the average play-through takes around 5 hours, which is an unfathomable amount of time for a single instance of a video game character to stay alive. Thankfully, there's no procedural generation or other random elements in VVVVVV, so the only thing that's standing between you and getting this achievement is your own skill level - which needs to be extremely high.
