2. Microsoft Announces A Handheld Console

The Announcement: Nintendo are the masters of it, Sony have had a pretty decent effort over the years (if not a patch on Nintendo), and now it's Microsoft's turn to try and crowbar their way into the competitive handheld gaming market with their own platform. How Likely Is It?:0/10. Microsoft's Head of Xbox Phil Spencer reiterated last year, "I don't think we'll do a dedicated handheld gaming device", which pretty much says it all. Of course, businesses change their minds constantly, but given how well Nintendo have the handheld market cornered, and how the Xbox One is still struggling to keep pace with the PlayStation 4, it seems like their efforts would be better placed grabbing the winning slice of the pie in the bigger battle moving forward. It'd certainly be a shock, though also be rather groan-inducing given how redundant an Xbox handheld would seem right now.
