The epitome of a factory line still having enough material left behind for one more product, Assassin's Creed Empire/Osiris (which we've known exists for months now) will be dropping towards the close of the year.

Though... do you care? At this stage, Ubisoft have shown their hand thanks to releasing so many annual instalments in such a forced manner, the complete train wreck that was AC: Unity proving their dev teams weren't getting anywhere near enough time to polish things up before launch.

To that end, this Egyptian instalment is meant to be set so far back in time it's almost like a soft reboot of the original (which in fairness, is now 10 years-old), looking into the formation of the Assassins and Templars, before reverting all gadgetry and fancy Assassin-tech back to how it was in the first game.

'Cautiously optimistic' is the best term for where the fans are probably going to be come E3, as with For Honor initially being a fantastic game - only to buckle under its own weight when Ubi removed content and stopped communicating with fans post-launch - the studio's shaky level of consumer trust is nowhere near as solid as it should be.
