12. Crackdown 3

After being announced, delayed, and announced again, the long-awaited Crackdown 3 is finally releasing - allegedly - sometime in the spring. Being split into three main modes (the solo campaign, co-op and a new competitive multiplayer suite, Wrecking Zone), Microsoft's sequel is shaping up to be the most ambitious entry in the series yet.

Unfortunately, that ambition has led to a rather troubled production, with the cloud-powered environmental destruction in particular proving to be a sticking point, as the developers go back and forth on how substantial this element of the game is going to be.

Although delays are frustrating though, they only ever result in a better game, and Crackdown 3 is still shaping up to be one of the biggest Xbox One exclusives of the year; even if that's partly because Microsoft's slate is pretty threadbare at the moment.
