15 Most Disappointing Video Games Of The Decade
1. Aliens: Colonial Marines
It seems obvious now that Aliens: Colonial Marines was always destined to be a disaster, but until players actually had it in their hands, there was no way to really know just how bad it would be.
Sure, there were a few signs before launch that things weren't right, including a whole chunk of delays, but all the footage released from the game in demos and E3 trailers looked like the authentic Aliens tie-in fans had been waiting for, and in every interview the team seemed committed to doing this franchise justice.
Of course, all of that was a big lie.
The trailers themselves were utter bullshots that didn't accurately reflect the finished product, and when reports came out that most of the production was outsourced to other companies, it became apparent that the devs didn't care half as much as they claimed.
What was left was a laughing stock, a complete mess of a product that caused problems for Gearbox that still haunt them to this day.
