We shouldn't have had high hopes for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 after Activision drove the franchise into the ground via terrible peripheral-based spin-offs, but this sequel was supposed to be a return to form, proof the company still respected the franchise.

Spoilers: it was not.

Despite returning to a classic franchise that hadn't received a sequel in decades, this follow up was a cash grab in every single way: a soulless, broken product that wanted to cash in on the affection and nostalgia fans had for the older games without actually putting in the effort to earn it.
