15 Most Hilariously Useless Enemies In Gaming History

11. Chameleon - Mortal Kombat Trilogy

While it could be argued that the only way to truly judge a Mortal Kombat character would be to assess their potential in the hands of a variety of seasoned players, the single player elements of the game must also be considered. It's in this format that Mortal Kombat trilogy provides a candidate for one of the most useless enemies in gaming history. Put aside any story-related questions of allegiance or motivation here and just consider anyone who in Mortal Kombat to be a worthwhile foe - unless you chose Chameleon. For the meagre threat he poses to the player's character in any single player challenge, it's scarcely worth actually considering him an enemy at all. Chameleon's "power" is a randomised skill and colour set for each fight, designed to mimic the abilities of his namesake. The problem is that he is never proficient enough with any of these for the lottery of what can turn up to cause the player any remote stress in the pre-fight buildup. Under his green banner, the phrase "Jack of all trades, Master of none" is probably tattooed onto that forehead.
