15 Most Hilariously Useless Enemies In Gaming History

9. Keese - Legend Of Zelda

For the first bat-shaped entry on this list, a recurring enemy from the Legend Of Zelda series makes its underwhelming presence known. While sprites and sounds for the little winged beasties have improved over the game's lifetime, the threat they pose to players has scarcely done the same. While many won't recognise the names, watching a quick clip of these pesky things swooping from cave ceilings will instantly refresh any player's memory. They appear, attack and are (hopefully) struck down with one swift swipe of the sword. They offer virtually nothing in the way of a genuine threat, and even when attacking in numbers they just simply become annoying. There are more recent variations that do develop a little extra bite if attacked with fire, for example, but according to Zelda lore/the internet these are a different breed. That being the case these bog standard basic Keese are certainly tremendously useless on their own.
