2. Dragon Age: Inquisition

After the misstep that was Dragon Age 2, developers at Bioware went back to the drawing board to win over disappointed fans with Inquisition. Taking the criticisms about the lack of content in the previous game to heart, the studio doubled down on creating the biggest Dragon Age game ever.

Sadly, a lot of the content in the sequel amounted to nothing more than busywork. Full of fetch quests and copy-and-paste mission design, the majority of the activities players accomplished didn't feel important or pertinent to the overall plot.

In fact, there was so much fluff in the game that one of the developers had to actually tell people at launch to move from the starting area if they wanted to get to the actually good content.

Consequently Inquisition lacked a core focus, and was content to make players suffer through the same missions over and over gain. When the game was firing on all cylinders it boasted some of the best moments in the entire franchise, but after every great set piece the title was inevitably dragged back down to Earth by a new batch of tedious missions.
