15 Most Terrifying Moments In Non-Horror Video Games

10. Monster Ock Chase - Spider-Man (PS1)

A kids game, no matter how you look at it, this PS1 Spider-Man game certainly had a low age rating.

At the end of the game you fight Doc Ock, afterwards, you fight Carnage, and when it's all said and done, it seems you finished the game. Except, the rage-inducing symbiote alien had detached from the latter and slithered away...

Then mechanical arms smash through, pulling you down and Doc Ock is now a huge, hulking red monstrosity screeching and screaming at you "DIE!" and "IT'S NOT OVER YET!" as he chases you down tight and volatile corridors.

Oh, and the facility is self-destructing so you can't fight him, instead having to run whilst battling the awkward controls and side-scroller camera angles.

Needless to say, if he catches you, the animation is literally Doc Ock tearing Spidey apart, albeit from an obscured camera angle.

It was quite traumatising as a child.
