15 Problems Only Destiny Gamers Will Understand

1. "That Wizard Came From The Moon"

Ah, Peter Dinklage. If anybody from Game Of Thrones has grasped their moment in the limelight, it's Mr. Peter Dinklage. Beloved as Tyrion Lannister in the aforementioned HBO series, Dinklage has gone on to become one of the most recognisable actors in the whole world and people seem to be throwing job offers at him on a daily basis, including our old friends in Bungie. While Destiny isn't his first voice acting gig, considering the other two were poorly-received movie tie-in games (Ice Age and Chronicles Of Narnia, to be precise), we're sure Mr. Dinklage wanted to start fresh and deliver a performance for the ages. A performance for the ages is what we got, although not necessarily in the way you might think. When the Destiny Alpha first launched, what did people rush to the internet to discuss with the rest of the world? The amazing sci-fi worlds? The intense gunplay and story? Nope. Instead, nearly every Alpha player jumped online and openly ravaged Peter Dinklage for a less than enthusiastic performance, to put it nicely. It was one particular line that really stole the show though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlOYatDYC40 In one fell swoop, the dialogue writer had created the first official Destiny meme. People went crazy about it and unfortunately, a lot of the focus was on Dinklage's horrific delivery of the line, rather than pointing out that the line itself is pretty rubbish in the first placed. Bungie rushed to make sure that the voice acting was improved for the Beta version (although not before getting a T-Shirt printed for sale featuring the meme...) and the line itself was cut from the game entirely. Boo! Was Dinklage's performance improved in the official release? Yes, though to what extent is up for debate. It's certainly an uninspiring performance but at the same time, he is playing an AI Character - how exciting can he really make it? The jury is still out on Dinklage in Destiny but his legacy, like the Wizard from the Moon, will live in infamy. Well Destiny fans? Can you think of anything else that should be added to this list? Is there any other aspect of Destiny that you think is highly unique to Bungie's new IP? Let us know in the comments below.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
