12. Resident Evil: Dead Aim

Resident evil
Capcom

Dead Aim is an odd one, being a part of the Survivor series in Japan where it's known as Gun Survivor 4: Biohazard: Heroes Never Die (One of the few times I believe our title is better) it features the first-person light gun shooting but switching to third-person for movement.

Storywise it's rather uninspired; a man holds the world hostage with T-Virus missiles for a ransom of a billion dollars, that's pretty much it. It's almost like they took a page out of Dr. Evil's book.

Resident Evil is known for its cheesiness with certain action scenes and of course with the dialogue. However, Dead Aim's attempts at it just seemed wrong, perhaps because it's an entirely new character so maybe he hasn't "earned" it, for lack of a better word.

The outcome of this game's release is that it was an interesting premise from a mechanical perspective, but overall it's just poorly executed.
