15 Things Only Fallout Fans Will Understand

8. Stockpiling A Very Specific Type Of Junk... Because You Never Know

So you've just bombarded your way through a Raider stronghold, slaying the aggressive onslaught of enemies left, right and centre... then you spot it, the one thing you came here for and the one thing that'll really take your experience to the next level. No, not a terminal password for the main story or a key to some unforeseen locked box further down the way, oh no. Instead, you need forks. A big ol' handful of forks. See, they've got a component you need to build a massive power-giving fan at the heart of your settlement. In the past games junk was just something that cluttered up your inventory and could occasionally be sold off, but in Fallout 4 specifically, its base parts can be funnelled back into everything from gun and armour mods, to houses and defensive equipment. So next time hang onto that tea kettle, and grab another just to be sure... because you never know.
