15 Things Only Rainbow Six: Siege Fans Will Understand
12. The Guilt Of Ripping Down A Castle's Door
Throwing up well thought-out reinforcements during the preparation stage of a match can mean the difference between an easy victory or a messy defeat, and Castle's metal barricades that replace fragile wooden doors and windows provide an essential extra bit of protection.
Of course, the operator only gets a few of these barricades to use, and needs to think about where they're needed the most. Sometimes though, players will be so rapid in placing these defences down that they actually block where you're trying to go - or even worse - accidentally lock you in a room with no easy means of escape.
When these situations arise, you have no choice but to tear down the barriers they've put up. Obviously, a Castle's entire job during the prep stage is to put these things up, and ripping them down could be seen as a huge middle finger to whoever's playing. Not really encouraging the camaraderie needed to work as a team.
Consequently, when you're playing as Castle and someone destroys your defences, it stings, but at least you know that hopefully the player doing the deed feels the guilt of nullifying all your hard work.
