Frictional Games' (Penumbra, Amnesia) Soma is a first-person sci-fi survival horror game taking place in an underwater research facility, as you must face off against technology which begins to assume human traits and starts hunting down the facility's residents. Above all else, the 4-minute trailer shown off to date boasts incredible visuals and an intense, supremely creepy tone that looks very promising indeed. Even though little is known about the plot beyond the piecemeal information above (such as what time period it's going to be set in), Frictional's previous track record gives gamers plenty of reason to be excited: they're masters of atmosphere, and from what's been shown off so far, this looks like a more ambitious, unique take on the same sort of game.
