8. Driveclub

Evolution Studios' (Motorstorm) latest racing game was originally planned as a PS4 launch title, but after the game was significantly redesigned, it only finally hits stores this week, nearly a year after its planned release. Still, Sony are rather generously allowing PlayStation Plus users to play about 20% of the game for free, even being able to earn a Platinum trophy without paying a penny. The main allure of Driveclub is the titular concept, that players will be able to form Driveclubs with up to 5 other players, with each player's accomplishments contributing to an overall team goal. Also, given the spate of recent games that have suffered graphical "downgrading", Driveclub looks to be one that lives up to its initial gameplay trailers: this just might be the best-looking racing game available on any platform to date. Given how the PS4 has been starved of a great racing game since launch (Need for Speed: Rivals was close but no cigar), hopefully Driveclub will help fill the void until the next Gran Turismo game shows up. Though it might not have the most tracks or cars to choose from, the innovative multiplayer mechanics and beautiful graphics certainly look promising. Release Date: October 7th
